Since opening its doors in 2010, Woodgrove High School has fostered a thriving tradition of musical excellence. Home to a wide range of dynamic ensembles, Woodgrove offers students the opportunity to shine as members of the award-winning Marching Wolverines, Indoor Guard, Indoor Drumline, Jazz Combo, and Symphonic Band.
The Woodgrove Band Boosters are proud champions of these young musicians, providing vital support every step of the way. Whether it’s cheering in the stands, funding new instruments and equipment, or chaperoning trips and events, the Boosters help make these unforgettable experiences possible.
Please consider helping these young musicians!

MEET THE BOARD
TJ is honored to serve as President. A life-long Loudoun resident, he has been a middle school band director since 2002 and also assisted various marching bands throughout his career. He and his wife Heidi have lived in Round Hill since 2007. They’re proud parents of three Marching Wolverines, Tommy, Bridget, and Levi.
In addition to announcing the Marching Wolverines onto the field, you may hear TJ announcing at a variety of marching contests in Loudoun County and also at James Madison University's Parade of Champions.
Leland and Le Thi Browning are both retired US Army Officers. They enjoy spending any down time they get relaxing with family. They are the proud parents of five, including one Marching Wolverine, Mason, two Softball and Track Wolverines, Madeleine and Abigail, one Wolverine Alumnus, Kyra, and Christine who unfortunately missed out on the Wolverine experience. The Browning’s live in Waterford along with their two dogs, Puck and Biscuit.
Samantha PayCheck, our ever-vigilant Treasurer, can balance a budget faster than most people can find a pencil. She once tracked down a missing $1.37 across four spreadsheets, two time zones, and a haunted vending machine. In her downtime, she runs a black-market economy of tuba valve oil and motivational stickers.
Samantha Newbold, our fearless Secretary, types at speeds that have voided multiple keyboard warranties. She once negotiated a truce between two rival cymbal sections using only a rubber chicken and a pack of expired fruit snacks. When not organizing meeting minutes, she trains carrier pigeons to deliver rehearsal schedules across Loudoun County.
Heidi Miles once recruited 30 volunteers using only a glare and a half-eaten granola bar. Her clipboard is rumored to be sentient. No one knows where she goes between band events, but the snacks always arrive.
Kunal Shah is the proud mom of Ariya, Kailen, and Saachiv. Her son Kai is in his third year of marching band and also loves playing guitar and performing with the jazz band. When she’s not in the stands cheering, you can find Kunal caring for patients as an Allergist in Purcellville or working alongside her husband, Ronak, at their local business, Shahnti Aesthetic Medicine and Wellness.
Always on the go, Kunal happily spends her time chauffeuring her three kids, volunteering at their schools, supporting local youth programs, exercising, and being with friends and family. She’s excited to bring her energy and ideas to the band boosters, especially in helping with fun and successful fundraising.
