TJ is honored to serve as President. A life-long Loudoun resident, he has been a middle school band director since 2002 and also assisted various marching bands throughout his career. He and his wife Heidi have lived in Round Hill since 2007. They’re proud parents of three Marching Wolverines, Tommy, Bridget, and Levi.
In addition to announcing the Marching Wolverines onto the field, you may hear TJ announcing at a variety of marching contests in Loudoun County and also at James Madison University's Parade of Champions.
Samantha PayCheck, our ever-vigilant Treasurer, can balance a budget faster than most people can find a pencil. She once tracked down a missing $1.37 across four spreadsheets, two time zones, and a haunted vending machine. In her downtime, she runs a black-market economy of tuba valve oil and motivational stickers.
Samantha (Sam) is the proud mom of both Spencer, who is in his third year of marching band, and Clara, who is in her first year of marching band. When she's not taking notes or chaperoning a band trip, Sam serves the special education department at Woodgrove High School. You can also often find her on an adventure with her husband, Mike, Spencer & Clara, and their dog, Daisy.
Heidi Miles once recruited 30 volunteers using only a glare and a half-eaten granola bar. Her clipboard is rumored to be sentient. No one knows where she goes between band events, but the snacks always arrive.
Kunal Shah is the proud mom of Ariya, Kailen, and Saachiv. Her son Kai is in his third year of marching band and also loves playing guitar and performing with the jazz band. When she’s not in the stands cheering, you can find Kunal caring for patients as an Allergist in Purcellville or working alongside her husband, Ronak, at their local business, Shahnti Aesthetic Medicine and Wellness.
Always on the go, Kunal happily spends her time chauffeuring her three kids, volunteering at their schools, supporting local youth programs, exercising, and being with friends and family. She’s excited to bring her energy and ideas to the band boosters, especially in helping with fun and successful fundraising.
